The Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy is dedicated to helping children become proficient readers. The habits modeled in this video show new parents some of the best ways they can help prepare their kids to be readers. Talking with your child, listening to him or her, making sure he or she is a part of the conversation – these are all ways to develop crucial language skills.
Ferst Foundation operates in several states, but these videos were shot near their central office in Madison, Georgia, with a cast of local volunteers.
