Here is a glimpse of Emmy nominated The Plaza Documentary, directed by Matt Rasnick. Joseph Crumbley and I collaborated as the Directors of Photography on this piece. It was a great little project with some really cool people. It started off as just a small piece on the Plaza for it’s 70th Anniversary and wound up being aired on PBS, and even more surprising, being nominated for an EMMY! We had the privilege to set up some visually attractive interviews for this piece.
In addition to handling the photography, I also created a quick motion piece for the intro to the Spookshow segment. Those guys had some crazy costumes during the interviews, so it inspired me to have some fun. I originally just wanted to do a sky replacement because we shot the exterior on an overcast day, but I guess I got a little carried away.
